Campus ministry is the largest student club, which organizes service opportunities for students around DC. Eighty percent of students at CUA are Catholic, and a Catholic based morality and sense of service pervade the culture here. All first year students take part in the First Year Experience (FYE), where they take two classes together each semester, led by three professors.

On the day I visited, students were busy studying for finals, and the student center was a hive of activity. The campus is quite large, and has its own metro station, so students definitely take advantage of the location to get out into DC to explore the culture, and also take part in internships.

For a student looking for a religiously affiliated school in an urban setting, it’s worth looking at CUA.
