Dana Hall is an all-girls school located in the Boston suburb of Wellesley, Massachusetts. One of the unique things about the school is the location, just a five-minute walk to the town center, where there are many shops and restaurants. The town has the feel of a safe yet lively suburb, as it is also home to Wellesley College and Babson College. In addition, Wellesley is extremely close to Boston and students have easy accessibility to the city via a 30-minute train ride. The campus consists of 4 main academic buildings, 6 dorms, and faculty housing, and you can easily walk across campus in a few minutes.
From the admissions directors that I met, Dana Hall focuses on providing a strong academic yet nurturing environment. Every student is assigned an advisor, with each advisory group having 5-7 girls. The advisor serves as a counselor and provides guidance in all areas of student life, including academic planning. The school also has an International Student Advisor to specifically provide support and assistance to all international students.
For girls interested in a boarding school with a caring environment in close proximity to a major metropolis on the East Coast, Dana Hall is a great school to consider.
